A medical device company is looking for a Junior Electrical Technician to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has recently completed their electrical engineering qualification and is ready to apply their technical skills in a healthcare-focused environment.
Minimum Requirements:
Completed NQF Level N3 or higher in Electrical Engineering from a technical college.
Trade-tested (Electrical) is essential.
Own transport is advantageous but not essential – co-travel with Area/BU Managers to hospital sites is possible.
Must be computer literate, presentable, medically fit, and reliable.
Basic understanding of electrical theory (voltage, current, resistance, circuits).
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, repair, and maintain medical devices at client sites.
Read and interpret blueprints and circuit diagrams.
Perform diagnostic assessments and basic fault-finding.
Conduct routine maintenance including inspections, cleaning, and tightening connections.
Use tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, voltage testers, and multimeters effectively.
Follow all safety protocols and wear protective gear when required.
Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, materials used, and any issues encountered.
A background in or exposure to a recognised electrical apprenticeship programme is preferred.
