Deciding whether to change jobs – or not. A BIG decision.
Quitting a job, specially one with a company you love is extremely difficult.
You will have developed some long, perhaps, lifetime friendships and will have shared many experiences which were only experienced with your work mates.
You really need to find a Good Professional Recruiter, who will advise you, not only on your own personal situation, but will give you an overview of how that relates to the ever-growing changes in your industry.
An observation, which may, or MAY NOT, apply to you is this: Up to 10 years ago the prospective employer would look for candidates with 10 years’ experience in a field. Now, it is generally 3 – 5 years’ experience required. You could possibly be overlooked because YOU HAVE TOO MUCH EXPERIENCE.
Our advice – each year evaluate your job on satisfaction, pay, industry related pay, challenges you still have to achieve and future prospects, if you are wanting to climb the ladder.
Sadly, we see many incredibly good candidates who have “gone with the flow” and 15 or 20 years later, find themselves Retrenched with “grim prospects. “
Be aware, find a Professional Recruiter, who will listen to what you say, not try to send you off on the very next interview, and will guide and direct you.
Our team is fully trained on these issues. We do not see you as our next placement, but a much cared for colleague whom we will want to court for years to come.
